Industry and Emergency Response Trainer: Napier
About the role
Fire and Safety Training Ltd is seeking an experienced Industry Trainer to join our team in Napier, Hawkes Bay. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality industry and emergency response training and assessment across a range of compliance areas.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering comprehensive NZQA Unit standard based courses in:
- working at height
- confined spaces & gas detection
- first aid
- work permits
- fire extinguisher & fire warden
- elevated work platforms
- workplace health and safety
- other relevant compliance areas as required
- Assessing trainees’ knowledge and skills through written and practical tasks
- Providing detailed reporting and record-keeping to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with clients to understand their specific training needs and customise solutions accordingly
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices, changes in legislation and regulations,
We’re looking for a person with
- Experience as a practical industry compliance trainer
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Adult Education or Compliance Management, with a minimum of NZQA 4089. We offer further training as required.
- An ability to travel throughout the North Island to train Industry clients
- Excellent training and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and effectively communicate with people from all backgrounds
- Proficiency in delivering training
