The following is a list of the current Employment Opportunities available at Fire and Safety Training:

Full time trainer

Location: Based in Timaru. Travel required.

We require a dynamic and experienced trainer to join our team.

Qualifications and experience with working at height and in confined spaces is necessary.  An adult teaching qualification is also necessary.

Specific training subjects may include:  working at height, confined space,  elevated work platforms, fire extinguishers, emergency warden, BA (breathing apparatus), and other compliance subject areas as required.

Applicant Specifications:

The successful person will be a self-motivated, well organised, honest and reliable team player.

This person needs to have the ability to train people from all walks of life. We deliver training to a number of clients on their own sites, so  the position requires travel, meaning time away from home as and when required.  We have excellent training resources and facilities to support this training.

Applicants should have a training background with at least unit standard 4098 or be willing to undertake study to gain this qualification.

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

Commercial Diver

Location: Based in Timaru

Type: Part time,  as required

Must have:

  • Current commercial diving qualifications
  • Certified with New Zealand Department of Labour
  • Full compliance with AS/NZ 2299.1 2007 Occupational Diving Operations
  • Current Medical Certification
  • Work within a team
